Sample Omni Air International Interview Questions

Here are a few of the Omni Air International interview questions you’ll find inside Cleared for Cabin:

Scenario 1

You're staffing the L1 door on a 767-300ER military charter. A young service member on their first overseas deployment boards visibly anxious and, during boarding, asks if you can sit with them for takeoff. How do you handle it?

Key answer: Validate quickly, honestly explain the jumpseat rule, and commit to a specific post-takeoff follow-up — then loop in the lead FA and actually do what you said you'd do.

Scenario 2

Two rows into meal service on a 10-hour AMC troop movement, you realize catering loaded 15 fewer hot entrees than passenger count. Walk through how you handle it.

Key answer: Stop service, huddle the crew, redistribute what you have, notify the lead FA and flight deck to document it, then personally deliver the recovery to the affected rows.

Scenario 3

On a fast turn between charter legs, another FA tells you they're skipping the interior security check on their side because 'it looked fine on the walk-off and we're already late.' What do you do?

Key answer: Don't argue — help them do it ('faster with two'). If they still refuse, complete your own side, notify the lead FA, and never sign off on a check you didn't personally verify.

Scenario 4

You're on a 777-200ER, roughly 90 minutes past the equal-time point over the North Atlantic. A mid-cabin passenger loses consciousness. No physician has responded to the PA. Nearest divert is 90+ minutes either way. Walk through your response.

Key answer: Assess ABCs, deploy AED and med kit, call specifically for medics/nurses/corpsmen, notify the flight deck with clean facts so MedLink can direct treatment and the captain can decide on divert. You provide information and execute — you don't decide.

Scenario 5

During boarding, a passenger asks to move across the aisle to an empty row for more space. Boarding is not yet complete. How do you respond?

Key answer: Hold them in their assigned seat until door close for weight-and-balance and manifest reasons, and proactively offer the move at cruise if the row is still empty.

Scenario 6

You're on a New England Patriots 767-300ER charter. A veteran player refuses to stow a personal duffel before pushback — 'I always fly like this.' What do you do?

Key answer: Frame it as a federal rule, not your rule, make compliance easy by offering to stow it yourself, and escalate to lead FA and captain if they still refuse. Same standard for VIPs as for anyone else.

Interview Stages

Online application→Invitation to an information/interview session→Full-day on-site event→Company presentation on the flight attendant role with Q&A→Self-select exit offered during the presentation→Stand-up candidate self-introductions→Group read of a pre-flight PA announcement script aloud→Break to memorize a fire-extinguisher procedure→Recitation of the fire-extinguisher procedure→One-on-one personal interview→Drug test→Background check

Behavioral Questions

  • Stand up and introduce yourself to the room
  • Are you here as a referral?
  • Are you a former Omni flight attendant?

Tips

  • Dress very professionally — candidates flag this repeatedly across accounts
  • Smile throughout the entire day, not just during the one-on-one
  • Treat the 'you may leave if this isn't for you' moment in the presentation as sincere; Omni is genuinely inviting self-selection against the charter lifestyle
  • Use the whole break to drill the fire-extinguisher script — it functions as a memory-under-pressure gate before the one-on-one
  • Be ready to read the pre-flight PA cold and out loud in front of the group
  • Plan for a long day; reported group sizes range from 20 to 40-50 candidates
  • Surface a referral or prior Omni experience at check-in if either applies — both are asked about explicitly

Interview Experience

“Compiled from dated candidate reports (Reddit/Glassdoor/Indeed). Candidates report a full-day event: a company presentation on the Global Charter Attendant role with an explicit self-select exit — Omni tells the room the schedule is inconsistent and spontaneous and invites anyone unsuited to leave. Those who stay give stand-up introductions, read a pre-flight PA script aloud, then break to memorize a fire-extinguisher procedure and recite it before the one-on-one. Group sizes run 20 to 40-50. Drug test and background check follow; some candidates report hire decisions the same day.”
