Frontier Airlines

Flight attendant interview intel — hiring windows, bases, pay and reserve reality, training, culture, and the interview process. Know the airline inside and out before you walk in.

Big-picture snapshot

Frontier is a Denver-headquartered ultra-low-cost carrier — and right now it is the single biggest beneficiary of Spirit's spring-2026 shutdown. Per coverage from May–June 2026, Frontier overlapped with Spirit on more than 100 routes (more than any other U.S. carrier), announced 9 new routes and 15 daily departures across 18 former Spirit markets, added capacity at Orlando, Las Vegas, Dallas, and Baltimore, and bid for Spirit's Detroit terminal space. That expansion translates directly into sustained flight attendant hiring demand. One caution: a "10,000 direct jobs" figure still circulates online — it belongs to the dead 2022 Frontier–Spirit merger projection and is not a hiring plan. Frontier did not absorb Spirit; it absorbed routes and gate space, and it is competing for Spirit's people. There is no published 2026 FA head-count target — this is expansion-driven hiring without official numbers.

Hiring-window status (as of August 2026): OPEN — continuously. Unlike the annual-window model at legacy carriers, Frontier runs an evergreen application (the "Apply Now" posting was live on flyfrontier.com as of August 2026) plus periodic in-person hiring events (a Denver FA event ran February 20, 2026, per event listings). Job boards showed roughly 95–228 FA listings live across mid-2026. Frontier has also publicly signaled interest in experienced flight attendants — i.e., ex-Spirit crew — which means the applicant pool includes seasoned ULCC crews.

Baseline requirements from the careers page (checked August 2026): "At least 20 years old when applying" — the youngest minimum among the carriers we cover (most require 21) — high school diploma or GED, legal authorization to work in the U.S., and "a valid passport with at least 14 months validity." (An older prep-site figure of 6 months' validity conflicts; the live careers page's 14-month figure is primary.) "Excellent customer service abilities" are expected, but no minimum years of experience are published. Willingness to relocate is required.

One thing to get straight before you apply anywhere in the ULCC world: there is no flight-attendant flow-through to a mainline carrier. Flow-through agreements are a pilot-program concept. Frontier FA experience is valuable on its own terms and on future applications, but no ULCC FA job comes with a guaranteed path to a legacy carrier.
